Get Urbit ID

Planets can be purchased as Layer 1 Azimuth NFTs, sourced from Layer 2 vendors (sometimes in bitcoin or fiat), or received from someone already on the network. Hosts may issue an ID as part of onboarding.

If you only need to feel the protocol, boot a comet. It is free, noisy, and not a name you should print on a card. When you are ready to stay, move to a planet and treat the keyfile as the bird’s heart.
